About the Authors

Jason L. Fowell is a practicing attorney. His co-author, John P. Bott, II, is a licensed securities broker who has worked in the bond market for over thirty years. The two met when John hired Jason as a broker in 1998 and have been good friends since.

Each enjoys writing articles in his respective field, so they teamed up to write Bond Daddy after John shared his tales of working in a boiler room operation when he started in the bond business in the early 1970s. As John recounted his rookie years, the story practically wrote itself with the help of a few cigars and countless glasses of wine.

John and his wife live in a Houston, Texas suburb. Jason met his wife in law school and now lives on the outskirts of Houston with their twin son and daughter.

Jason's law practice represents clients from the boardroom to the courtroom and he teaches litigation at South Texas College of Law. John owns and runs a broker/dealer, an asset management firm and manages a hedge fund. He also makes regular television appearances and has his own drive-time radio show on one of Houston's popular business news stations.
