Writers at Rice

Jason and John were honored to join the ranks of Rice Epicurean's Writers at Rice Program. John Bott visited with shoppers and signed Bond Daddy at the Uptown location while Jason Fowell met friends, family, and customers at the River Oaks location. The Writers at Rice Program allows area authors to meet the public and sign recently released books.

Over the past several years, the program has hosted Barbara Bush, Nellie Connally, Peter Roussell, astronaut Walter Cunningham, Carolyn Farb, Houston First Lady Andrea White, Houston Chronicle columnist Leon Hale, basketball great Clyde Drexler and famed pastry queen, Rebecca Rather.

Jason and John were honored to be part of this fantastic program.

The Morning Show with Brent Clanton

The microphone at CNN 650 is a familiar place to John Bott, as co-host of CNN 650 What's Working Now. Jason Fowell joined John Bott as a guest on the Morning Show with Brent Clanton to discuss Bond Daddy and the parallel to our current economic climate. Jason and John discussed the upcoming book signing at Rice Epicurean as well.

Polo's Signature Restaurant

Jason Jason and John invited family, friends, and readers to Polo's Signature Restaurant on May 19, 2010 for a Bond Daddy Book Signing and Reception to celebrate the recent release of Bond Daddy. Over 70 fans joined the party as food was enjoyed and glasses of wine toasted the authors.

Guests were able to purchase Bond Daddy and have the authors were available for personalization and signing.

During the event, Gail Collins interviewed Jason and John for an upcoming article in CyFair Magazine. For more information on Ms. Collins please see her website and the magazine's website.

Donations at the door benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Cup Regatta Houston kick-off party 3rd Annual Sip and Sail for a Cure benefiting The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to finding a cure for Leukemia, Lymphoma, and Hodgkin’s disease cancers.

After the successful event, the authors enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Polo's Signature Restaurant and enjoyed visiting with Owner and Chef Polo.

Jason and John posed before the promotional poster designed by Bond Daddy cover and back cover artist, Lonnie Robert Westeen, which was unveiled at this event.

John introduced Jason during Cigar Talk to attendees. Jason and John signed books for attendees while enjoying appetizers and drinks provided by Tri Star Financial and What's Working Now.

Jason visited with guests and John discussed the current economic climate. Cigar Talk is a monthly event hosted by TriStar Financial and CNN650 What's Working Now.
